GPT Image 2.5 for the Image Around Your Video
The cover is often seen before the clip. Build a thumbnail, episode illustration, or portrait post with GPT Image 2.5 on Vo Omni. Specify the focal subject and the room your layout needs, then generate an image in the shape you intend to publish.
Make the subject clear at a glance
Use a brief that accounts for how the image will sit beside a title, caption, or play button.
One visual idea per cover
Describe a main subject and a restrained setting. Leave out details that compete with the story the cover needs to tell.
Space for your final title
Ask for negative space where you intend to place lettering. Inspect the result and add final copy in your preferred design tool.
A shape suited to the placement
Choose 16:9, 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, or another supported ratio. A fresh generation for another ratio is a separate request, not an automatic resize.
Visual packaging inside the Vo Omni workspace
GPT Image 2.5 is a still-image option for the moments around video: a channel cover concept, a preview card, or a related social post. It accepts a written description and optional reference images, making it useful both when you have an existing frame and when you are starting with an idea.
Choose Flare or Sunburst and generate one image at a time. The per-image cost on Vo Omni is 3 credits at 1K, 5 at 2K, and 7 at 4K. Both versions use the same prices, and up to 16 reference images can be included without an additional reference fee.
Think beyond the full-size preview
Check the downloaded image at a small display size. A focal subject that disappears when reduced may need a simpler composition.
Review before adding copy
Look for cropping, distracting objects, and unintended marks in the title area. Refine the prompt before finishing the layout.
A practical cover-image workflow
Keep composition, output size, and the next revision easy to control.
Reuse a useful frame as a reference
Upload a frame or photo and describe what should remain recognizable. Do not assume that every small detail will carry through without checking.
Try a different direction deliberately
Keep the prompt and ratio unchanged when comparing a Flare request with a Sunburst request. Each request is charged separately.
Pay by selected resolution
The displayed amount follows your output choice. Switching versions or adding references does not change the resolution price.
Return to saved results
My Creations keeps submitted image tasks available for later review. Confirmed generation failures receive a full refund.
Cover briefs with room for a headline
Copy one prompt, choose the suggested ratio, and judge the result in the context of your own layout.
Prompt: A cooking episode thumbnail
Set 16:9 and 1K. Prompt: "Overhead photograph of a rustic tomato pasta bowl on a blue table. Place the bowl in the right half; a fork rests beside it. Warm window light. Keep the left third plain blue with no ingredients or lettering. Clear separation between food and background." Reduce the preview size and confirm the bowl remains easy to identify.
Prompt: A vertical travel cover
Upload a destination photo as reference 1; select 9:16 and 2K. Prompt: "Use the arched street in reference 1 as the setting for a travel cover. Morning light, one bicycle at the lower right, muted terracotta and cream colors. Keep the top quarter as uncluttered sky. No people, text, or added logos." Check the reserved sky area before placing a title in your layout editor.
Prepare your next cover in three passes
Start with the placement, then the image, then the final layout.
Identify where the image will appear
Choose a target ratio and decide where the subject and title should sit. If you have a source photo, upload it and describe its role.
Generate one composition
Select Flare or Sunburst and an output resolution. Check the 3/5/7-credit price for 1K/2K/4K, then submit the prompt.
Inspect at the intended display size
Download and test the image in your cover layout. If the subject or copy space is unclear, revise those instructions and submit another request.
Questions about covers and thumbnails
Can I publish a finished thumbnail directly from here?
This page generates and downloads an image. It does not publish to a social account or upload a video thumbnail. Use the downloaded file in your own publishing workflow.
Will the model leave exactly the right space for a title?
You can request clear space and describe where it should be. Check the actual result before laying out the title; prompts guide generation but do not lock a measured design grid.
Does changing from landscape to portrait resize the same result?
No. Selecting a new ratio changes a future generation request. You can upload the earlier result as a reference and describe a new composition, which creates another image and uses credits.
What do the versions and resolution settings cost?
Flare and Sunburst share the same prices: 3 credits for 1K, 5 for 2K, and 7 for 4K. One request returns one image.
Can I leave while a cover is generating?
Yes. Check My Creations later for the task. Submission cannot be cancelled; confirmed generation failures refund the full charge, while a slow response alone does not trigger a refund.
Give your next upload a clear visual entry point
Start with a subject, a placement, and one cover brief. Generate the image, then finish the title and publishing details in your own workflow.
